SMS Retention Local
A local desktop tool for collecting retention reporting metrics and synchronizing them to a designated Google spreadsheet.
Purpose
The tool compares authorized reporting data with an existing spreadsheet. It matches platform names and reporting dates, previews day-1, day-7 and day-15 retention metrics, and fills eligible blank retention cells. Existing values and formulas are preserved. Data that is unavailable or has not reached its observation date is not written as zero.
Google account access
Google authorization is used to read the designated spreadsheet and write the selected retention metrics. The Google Sheets permission can cover spreadsheets accessible to the authorized account; it is not a single-file permission. The desktop application's implementation limits its operations to the configured spreadsheet and retention columns.
Google sign-in occurs in the user's browser. This information website does not accept Google credentials, receive authorization tokens, or provide a spreadsheet upload form.
Local operation
The desktop tool runs on the user's computer using the user's authorized sessions. Google refresh credentials are encrypted in local application storage. Any enabled scheduled synchronization uses the same destination and blank-cell protections. The application is intended for the owner's personal, authorized reporting workflow.
